According to reports spread over the internet, when activating the display, the cell phone presents some colored horizontal lines. The suspicion is that the problem stems from a failure in the iOSbut apple has not yet commented on the case.
Reports about the problem with the full-bodied model in the line iphone 14 appeared so much in reddit and on the Apple support forum.
In the first case, the user 1LastOutlaw reported on December 14 that its iPhone 14 Pro Max, purchased on the 9th, suddenly began to exhibit the noises.
“I noticed that when the phone turns on, horizontal lines flash on the screen. It does it randomly, not always when the phone is triggered,” she explained.
Faced with the situation, the owner of the smartphone sought Apple support. But the company has not accused any problem in the unit.
“The technician told me that it is not a hardware problem, but a software problem,” he said. “He told me to erase my iPhone to start with a new iPhone, and that might solve the problem.”
All this, however, did not solve the fault. Even installing the latest version of the system helped: “I just updated the phone with iOS 16.2 and it’s still doing this”, he vented.

Other people commented on a similar situation within the thread. On Wednesday (21), the user MemoryBackground5929 started facing the same problem on mobile with iOS 16.1 installed.
But complaints are found in other channels.
On the Apple forums, the user Nik3m came across the green and yellow lines on the iPhone 14 Pro possibly after the update. “I don’t remember seeing these lines before iOS 16.2, but I’ve only had this phone for 2 weeks,” she said.
In the community, another person, identified as thandavatkfaced the issue on an iPhone 14 Pro Max with iOS 16.2 purchased on December 5th.
“When I wake up the screen, I can notice horizontal lines (flickering) for less than a second. It happens every two to five times if I wake the phone 25 times,” she detailed. “The flicker time is less than a second and I can’t show it to anyone or take a picture of it.”
How to resolve iPhone 14 Pro screen glitch?
The horizontal lines, apparently, do not interfere with the use of the smartphone. However, they are uncomfortable.
After all, nobody spends from BRL 9 thousand or US$ 1 thousand on a cell phone to face this kind of problem, right?
