THE Samsung is already preparing for the debut of the successors of the Galaxy S22. According to Galaxy Club this Tuesday (4), the Galaxy S23 and S23+ will get a bigger battery next year. The exception is for the Galaxy S23 Ultrawhich tends to retain the 5,000mAh capacity of its predecessor.
The reports come from certifications in regulatory agencies. The Dutch website reported that the conventional edition of cell phones tends to gain a 3,900 mAh battery. This is a considerable increase compared to the Galaxy S22which has a 3,700 mAh component and offers average performance.
Despite the increase, mobile still lags behind Galaxy S21. Going back to 2021, the smartphone was announced with 4,000 mAh, which also delivered satisfactory performance in our tests. The component, it is worth remembering, is similar to the part found inside the Galaxy S20.
The Galaxy S23+ would be another smartphone graced by the change. This time, the phone identified by the SM-S916 model tends to bring a 4,700 mAh part. Again, this is a considerable increase – and it could be greater – given that the Galaxy S22+ has a 4,500 mAh component.
But this is another cell phone that lags behind previous models. Back to 2021 once again, the Galaxy S21+ was announced with a 4,800 mAh battery, which hardly presented autonomy problems in our tests. Fortunately, the component is larger than the part found inside the Galaxy S20+, which has 4,500 mAh.
Galaxy S23 Ultra can keep 5,000mAh battery
Unlike the others, the Galaxy S23 Ultra should not undergo changes in this regard. But this is not a problem: still according to the Galaxy Club, Samsung’s most advanced future cell phone will hit stores with a 5,000 mAh battery. That is, it is the same capacity as the Galaxy S20 Ultra, S21 Ultra and S22 Ultra.
It is an interesting brand, which puts it close to most of the intermediate models that offer good autonomy. recapping our Galaxy S22 Ultra review, the cell phone surprised positively. After all, even in the most intense activities, the 5,000 mAh battery was efficiently drained.
However, this does not exactly mean that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have the same result. Despite the large battery, other factors, such as processor power consumption, impact autonomy. Some day-to-day activities can also make it unload faster, such as the very strong brightness level, intense use of GPS, continuous access to the camera, among other factors.
That is, you have to wait for the release to give the verdict.
Samsung wants 200 MP camera in its next phone
In addition to the battery increase, Samsung will bet heavily on the successor to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. According to the Dutch website in September, the Galaxy S23 Ultra tends to bring a 200-megapixel camera. The sensor would still be accompanied by a 10-megapixel telephoto camera that offers 10x optical zoom.
The other details are still a mystery. But the trio is expected to be revealed with advanced datasheets, including the expected Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The phones should be revealed in early 2023.
