Traditionally, the samsung unveils the new Galaxy S family cell phones at the beginning of the year. The company does not intend to change the scheme this time: the Galaxy S23 tends to come to the world in the first quarter of 2023. The expectation is that three smartphones with cameras of up to 200 megapixels will be presented at the event.
It all started on Twitter. On Wednesday (21), ice universe tweeted: “February 1st”. Soon after, he explained what was scheduled for the date: Galaxy Unpacked, the Galaxy S line product launch event.
The publication attracted other well-known leakers. In response, Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka OnLeaks, posted a GIF with the caption “it’s true”. Afterwards, Max Jambor said: “February 2 for most of the world”.
Hemmerstoffer came back with another GIF: “they are right”.
The date still needs to be confirmed. However, the information matches Samsung’s latest launch events, which almost always set aside February for the debut of its premium models.
On the other hand, this does not mean that the phones will arrive in Brazil in the same week. But this is not a problem, as Samsung does not take long to introduce them to the Brazilian public.
Therefore, the domestic debut of the Galaxy S23 should also take place in the first quarter of 2023.
Tradition can be maintained in 2023
The first quarter has always been a busy day at Samsung. After all, the main models of the company are launched during this period, before the debut of the great sales champions of the Galaxy A family, such as the Galaxy A53🇧🇷
All this effort resulted in a periodicity already considered traditional in the technology market.
To get an idea, in 2019, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S10 to the world on February 20🇧🇷 At the time, three cell phones were presented: Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10+. Soon after, the company launched the models in Brazil.
The following year, the manufacturer threw the spotlight on the Galaxy S20 on February 11🇧🇷 Again, three models were announced. The South Korean brand, however, left the “e” edition aside and debuted the Ultra variant at this time.
The Galaxy S20 FE arrived a few months laterin August 2020.
The exception only happened in 2021.
Last year, Samsung anticipated the debut of the Galaxy S21 family🇧🇷 Note that it was from this moment on that the Ultra variant began to take the place of the Galaxy Note. However, in the previous generation, this assimilation did not happen completely.
It is worth remembering that all this haste did not affect the schedule of the Galaxy S21 FE, who only came into the world in January 2022🇧🇷
In 2022, Samsung returned to introduce cell phones in February. On the 9th of that month, the launch of the Galaxy S22 took placewith a focus on Galaxy S22 Ultrawhich really took on the personality of the Galaxy Note.
Previously, Samsung took advantage of the MWC, in the first quarter of each year, to reveal its products, as it happened with the Galaxy S9🇧🇷
What to expect from the Galaxy S23?
The three variants of the Galaxy S23 family tend to bring the most powerful on the market.
Let’s start with the presence of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Special Edition, Qualcomm’s new processor. But, unlike in recent years, the new generation tends not to bring a variant with an Exynos processor🇧🇷
As exclusively revealed by Technoblog🇧🇷 models will have a battery of up to 5,000 mAh🇧🇷
The photographic set is another highlight. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to feature a 200-megapixel cameraplacing it next to the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra It’s from Xiaomi 12T Pro🇧🇷 The other models tend to continue with a triple set.
Following in the footsteps of the iPhone, Samsung also thinks about working with a satellite connection🇧🇷
the cell phones already approved by Anatel🇧🇷
