THE CES 2023 starts only in the first week of next year, but some brands are already advancing their news. This is the case of LG, which presented its line of soundbars this Tuesday (27). There are two models, the SC9 and the SE6. Both offer Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, in addition to a feature that the brand called Wow Orchestra🇧🇷
Both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X are intended to create more immersive sound using surround sound.
The Wow Orchestra, according to LG’s explanation, will use the audio channels of the TV and the soundbar together to “create a sound stage with improved height, depth and power”.
It looks like what Samsung is already doing with Q-Symphony or Sincronia Sonora, what the feature was called in Brazil🇧🇷
Wow Orchestra won’t be available at launch for the SC9 and SE6 — it’s coming later via a software update. LG hasn’t given any dates for that yet, though.
Sound and connectivity improvements
Speaking of software, the soundbars feature Wowcast, LG’s proprietary wireless connection standard. By pairing them with the TV, you can use the TV’s Home Dashboard to adjust sound equipment settings, as well as choose audio modes.
The brand says that the equipment is compatible with a wide variety of services, devices and connectivity tools. Among the resources, she highlights the lossless audio and support for Tidal Connect.
Another feature is the Triple Sound Optimizer, which reinforces the sound, and the Smart-up Mixer, which promises to transform two-channel audio into multichannel, to create the surround experience.
LG also offers sound calibration for the environment and automatic equalization adjustments. These two features are possible using artificial intelligence, according to the company.
In addition to soundbars, LG will launch a new support, which fits compatible TVs, whether they are on the wall or on a piece of furniture. According to the brand, this should guarantee a height and positioning that guarantee the best sound experience for users.
The company has not yet revealed how much each of the new soundbars will cost, or when they will hit the market.
