Already in the mood for the end of the year, Netflix decided to improve the selection of films and series that it will launch in December. Among the highlights of the program are the series The Witcher: The Originprequel to the famous streaming show, and Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro, stop-motion animation of the children’s tale. Check below for details about these titles and the complete list of programs that premiere this month on the platform.
December series to keep an eye on 👀
Day 25 – The Witcher: Inception – Prequel to The Witcherwhich takes place over a thousand years before the adventures of Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher: The Origin is one of most anticipated series of the year🇧🇷
With Michelle Yeoh in the cast, it has been drawing attention since it was announced, especially as it takes place at the time of the Conjunction of the Spheres and shows the “birth” of the first wizard in its mythology.
With an exciting trailer, the series has everything to please the audience that is already a fan of the franchise, whether they are passionate about the films or books of the saga.
Day 28 – Blind Wedding: Brazil [Temporada 2] – After a resounding success in the Netflix catalogue, the Brazilian version of the reality show blind marriage now wins its second season.
The title managed to bring together a very interesting team of couples the first time around, showing stories that conquered the public and even earned a reunion extra episode on YouTube from Netflix Brazil.
For those who like relationship reality shows, this one is certainly a full plate.
December movies to watch 👀
Day 09 – Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro – Stop-motion animated version of the famous fairy tale, Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro premieres on the 9th and promises to be a thorn in the side of Disney, which released a live-action version of the story just under two months ago.
In this adaptation made by the director of The Shape of Water and Pan’s Labyrinththe story seems to have a darker and – I would even say – more poetic than the original version.
That, not to mention the beautiful trailer made for its release, which would convince me to watch the film, even if I didn’t already know its story.
Day 23 – Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery – With a mystery worthy of the books of Agatha Christie and the stories starring Sherlock Holmes, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is the sequel to the film Between Knives and Secrets.
Despite being once again starring Daniel Craig, the spin-off now features a new cast, which features big names like Kate Hudson, Edward Norton and Ethan Hawke.
In the story, Detective Blanc is invited to go to a deserted island and meet with a millionaire and his friends, in a meeting that they organize annually. There, a game begins in which a fictitious murderer needs to be discovered, but real events change the course of the game and make the detective have to take action.
