Caixa’s virtual debit card and the Caixa Tem app were important for the payment of Emergency Aid, shortly after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the end of 2020, they were over 105 million accounts🇧🇷 Until today, Caixa Tem is used to pay social benefits.
Altogether, Caixa has more than 140 million customers. Combine this popularity with that of WhatsApp — present in 99% of Brazilian cell phones, according to 2020 data — can leverage messenger payment services. This task, however, will not be so easy.

How to register Caixa card in WhatsApp Pay
To use Caixa’s virtual debit card on WhatsApp, you need to generate it in the Caixa or Caixa Tem applications, or in internet banking.
Then, copy the virtual card data (number, expiration and security code) and go to WhatsApp. In Settings, choose Payments and register. When solicited, enter card details Box in the app.
