Xiaomi is expected to bring changes in its next premium smartphones. According to the leaked rendering, there will be a design difference between the Xiaomi 13 and the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The Pro version will have more rounded lines, while the “base” model will adopt the square shape – as Apple uses in its newer iPhones.
The images, based on previous leaks, were produced by leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (known as OnLeaks) in partnership with the sites Zoutouns and Compare Dial. In addition to the difference between the Xiaomi 13 series, the new smartphones will have the camera set repositioned.
Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro: new design and new camera island
The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, upcoming smartphones from the manufacturer, will have a squarer camera island (place where the lenses are positioned). In the previous model, the Xiaomi 12, the three cameras are allocated in a more rectangular configuration, almost aligned.
If you push too hard (a lot), you can even tell it’s a setup similar to some newer iPhone Pro’s. At least when we take into account that the relief is now a square.
About the specifications of the cameras, nothing has been leaked so far. However, as the series Xiaomi 13 will be released before the end of the yearthat information will be revealed soon — likely during the Snapdragon Summit, which starts on November 15th.
In the rendering, it is notable that Xiaomi has chosen to differentiate the two versions in the chassis design. O Xiaomi 13which will be the “basic” model of the series, will have more square lines on the edges, buttons and on the screen – which should measure 6.2 inches.
already the Xiaomi 13 Pro will have a rounded chassis, with a 6.55-inch “infinite” screen. Like the other model, the selfie camera will be installed in a punch hole in the display.
Xiaomi should present Xiaomi 13 in the coming days
On the hardware side, Xiaomi’s next smartphones will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This processor will be unveiled at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit event (already mentioned).
At the event, Xiaomi is expected to hold a presentation as a launch customer for Qualcomm’s new SoC. Last year, the Chinese company started sales of the Xiaomi 12 series on December 31.
