Unlike Samsung and Motorola, Xiaomi kept pace and launched even more cell phones in 2022. In all, the company presented more than sixty models between January and December, with emphasis on Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 12T Pro, Redmi Note 11 and the newly released Redmi K60. This is what a survey carried out by the Technoblog with the mobile base of the GSMArena.

The compilation took into account the main manufacturers in Latin America.
According to Counterpoint Research, Xiaomi was the third largest brand in the region in Q3 2022. The Chinese company appears among the only ones to grow in the period that registered a retraction in sales of phones in the region.
“Xiaomi continued to grow by entering new countries and expanding both the carrier and its own retail channels,” explained Andres Silva, research analyst at the consultancy. “This has driven Xiaomi’s share and shipment volume growth in the region.”
The leadership is occupied by Samsung and Motorola, respectively, which launched fewer cell phones this year compared to last year.

Xiaomi expands the portfolio once again
Xiaomi is one of the companies that most diversifies its product catalogue.
No wonder the company focuses both on re-releases and variants so that a single model serves several audiences simultaneously. That is, you can find cell phones focused on photography, performance or battery, for example, without difficulty.
The company maintained the pace of expansion. In 2022 alone, there were 66 launches, an increase of almost 17% in annual comparison.
In 2020was basically one cell per week.
It is worth remembering that the company is one of the few that took advantage of the last week of the year to reveal new products.
It is the case of the line Redmi K60, presented this Tuesday (27). The highlight is the Redmi K60 Pro, which has a triple 50-megapixel camera and an advanced technical sheet with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Redmi Note 11 stood out in Latin America
The family Redmi Note 11 makes up Xiaomi’s successful lines. And it’s no wonder: in the Counterpoint Research report, the consultancy noted that the launch of the line contributed to the manufacturer’s growth in the region in the third quarter of 2022.
The model landed in Brazil in April. At the time, DL Eletrônicos presented the Redmi Note 11 and 11S for BRL 2,599 and BRL 2,999, respectively. The company also brought the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G to the country.
But the model was not alone. In October, Xiaomi unveiled the smartphone’s successors, highlighting the Redmi Note 12 Pro+which has a recharge of 210 watts (!).

After Motorola, Xiaomi unveiled a smartphone with many megapixels: the Xiaomi 12T Pro.
The model appeared in October and stood out for its 200-megapixel main camera. The launch still had other great attributes, such as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and 120-watt recharge.
The Xiaomi 13 also focused on photography. With Leica lenses, the smartphone has a triple 50-megapixel camera and was one of the first on the market to bring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The same happened with the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which even has a huge camera module. In a mobile experiment, the manufacturer used an interchangeable lens on the smartphone.
