Xiaomi debuted its first store in the North region of Brazil. The new physical point of sale for the Chinese brand is at Amazonas Shopping, in Manaus. The company also announced the opening of a new store in Rio de Janeiro.
The new Xiaomi store in Brazil is a kiosk located on the 1st floor of the mall. Its opening hours are from 10:00 to 22:00 from Monday to Friday and from 14:00 to 21:00 on Sundays. More than mobile devices, the store will sell vacuum cleaners, scales, speakers and other accessories.
Xiaomi opens physical store in Manaus
In the press release, Xiaomi states that the kiosk will also feature smartphones, smart watches, smartbands, headphones and speakers. With the opening of a physical point in Manaus, consumers will have faster access to a Xiaomi product, depending less on deliveries in the region – which are usually time consuming.
The store opening date was also a strategic move by Xiaomi. With little more than a week left for Christmas, the brand arrives in Manaus in a period of high purchases for the end of year celebration.
The kiosk format, adopted at Amazonas Shopping, is the fourth in Brazil. Xiaomi has 11 stores in Brazil, including the newly opened space in Manaus. These other own points of sale are located in the cities of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Recife and Salvador. In addition, according to the company, 8,000 Brazilian stores sell its products.
New store in Rio de Janeiro and expansion in 2023
In addition to debuting the first store in the North Region, Xiaomi opened a new point of sale in Rio de Janeiro. The company’s kiosk is located in NorteShopping. In the city of Rio, Xiaomi has two more points of sale, a store in BarraShopping and another in ParkJacarepaguá.
Xiaomi, in the press release, informs that it intends to carry out new openings in 2023, debuting in new cities. Xiaomi’s first own store in Brazil was opened in 2019, at Shopping Ibirapuera, in São Paulo. The city also received the brand’s first kiosk, located at Shopping Eldorado.
